Publisher's description: Meat for Tea: The Valley Review is a non-academic affiliated arts & literary journal founded in the adjunct faculty offices of Holyoke Community College over 15 years ago. Meat for Tea was honored to place in the New England Book Show multiple times, including winning Best in Category in 2019.
Meat for Tea has long been committed to publishing the work of emerging writers and artists alongside more established ones, such as Marge Piercy and Jane Yolen. We are proud to have played a role in launching some distinguished literary careers, like that of poet David M. Miller and translator Michael Goldman.
We publish work in multiple genres in every issue. Our contributors include Pushcart Prize nominees and winners, Guggenheim Fellowship winners, and Nation Endowment of the Arts Fellowship winners, among other notables.
Meat for Tea is a fully independent, quarterly publication.
